Modern motorcycles use a key with an embedded RFID chip as an added means of theft prevention. The key is read by the computer and if it matches, it will enable all systems to start the the motorcycle. If the key does not match, the motorcycle will only crank but not start.

This engine immobiliser system presents a barrier to many owners and dealers when it comes time to swap out a bad ECU, or if you’ve lost all the keys and can't program new keys.

While taking the motorcycle to a dealership is an option, it could get very expensive because the dealership would need to buy a new ECU and lock set. This could cost you more then the motorcycle is worth. We offer a cost effective and safe method whereby we program your ECU to accept new keys.

This is a specialist service provided by our locksmith team. All we need is your original ignition lock that can be sent straight to us.

We can read the data that is inside the original transponder and copy it into a spare key.

What To Send

The immobilizer security chip is located in numerous points and positions depending on the motorcycle make and model. The following section will provide you with a list of manufacturers and specific information on what parts to send to us. This will enable us to programme two new coded keys for your motorcycle.

Aprilia has the immobilizer system programmed into the dashboard. In order to create new keys we need you to send us the dashboard.
